The Krabbenfoor is the largest and most welcoming annual event in Bergen op Zoom. For four days, the historic town centre transforms into a vibrant festival featuring hundreds of market stalls, live music, street theatre, children's activities, art, culture, hospitality and plenty of fun. Every year, the Krabbenfoor attracts tens of thousands of visitors from the Netherlands and Belgium, and it is the ultimate moment to experience the hospitable, spirited atmosphere of Bergen op Zoom.

At the Krabbenfoor there is something for everyone to enjoy. You will find hundreds of market stalls offering fashion, home accessories, local produce, delicacies, books, jewellery, toys and great bargains. In addition, you can enjoy lively pavement cafés, live music, street theatre and entertainment in various squares. There are also children's activities, an art market in the courtyard of the Markiezenhof, cultural presentations and various catering squares. The combination of shopping, tasting, meeting and enjoying makes the Krabbenfoor a complete day out for young and old alike.

The Krabbenfoor takes place in the historic city centre of Bergen op Zoom, which is exceptionally accessible. If you come by train, you can walk from Bergen op Zoom station to the event in about 10 minutes. If you are travelling by car, please make use of the multi-storey car parks and car parks on the edge of the centre. Please bear in mind that a number of streets in the city centre are closed to traffic during the Krabbenfoor. If you are coming from the local area, the bicycle is often the fastest and most practical choice. For up-to-date information on accessibility, parking and any traffic measures, please check the information on this website in advance.

Are you coming to the Krabbenfoor by bike? Then you can park it in several places in and around the town centre. At various locations there are bike hoops where you can securely lock your bike. In addition, there is a free monitored bicycle parking at Pastoor Joorenplein, where a supervisor is present during opening hours. You can also make use of the CCTV-monitored Dutch Railways bicycle storage facility at Bergen op Zoom station, about a 10-minute walk from the city centre.

Cycling in the streets participating in the Krabbenfoor is not permitted. This will be monitored and enforced.

During the Krabbenfoor, toilets are available at various locations in the city centre. In addition, many hospitality venues are participating in the HogeNood app. Through this free app, you can easily see which toilets are available nearby, including opening hours, any charges and accessibility.

Download the HogeNood app in advance or during your visit, so you can always quickly find a toilet nearby. Naturally, you can also follow the signage at the event to the public toilet facilities.

No. The Krabbenfoor is free to enter and no admission fee is charged. The performances, street theatre acts and entertainment on the squares are also freely accessible to all visitors.

Should a performance take place on or near a terrace, or in a café or catering establishment, the house rules of that location apply. Visitors there are naturally expected to order something when using the terrace or enjoying the music inside. In this way, you also contribute to the convivial atmosphere and hospitality of the hospitality industry during the Krabbenfoor.
